We will start off this month’s meeting with a quick review of the last three club events: Camp Quality, the trip to the George Nakashima’s estate hosted by his daughter Mira and Forestry Day.

Than this month’s speaker, David Dorey, who is presently putting the finishing touches on his beautiful chest of drawers. David’s chest has many classic features, one such facet is the pair of inset fluted quarter columns which he will be talking about along with some of the process and challenges he has encountered along the way.

Next Marc Gaertner is going to explain what Barley Twist candlesticks are. He will than demonstrate how to make them and what he learned using a combination of turning and carving skills to create them.

As a follow up to last month’s meeting at Monteath Lumber, there will also be a short talk on tips when buying hardwood lumber.

Hope to see everyone there,
