Our next meeting is our annual Holiday Party. All members and their significant others are welcome to attend. All members are encouraged to bring an appetizer, main course, or dessert. Please notify Scott Goldstein what dish you will be bringing so that we have a wide variety of food.
We would also like to Thank “Lie-Nielsen Toolworks” for their generous donations. As woodworkers we appreciate the quality and precision craftsmanship that goes into a Lie-Nielsen Tool. Every woodwoker should have a few Lie-Nielsen tools in their workshop. Please click on the link to the right to visit the Lie-Nielsen Toolworks website.
Our Next Meeting is November 13, 2019
At this Wednesdays meeting a few of our members will be demonstrating some wood turning techniques and ways to plan for simple turnings. Learn how to plan a project and the thought process involved in deciding how to create a simple turning. Bring in something that you have turned to share with the group.
Also we will be taking orders for club apparel. Please bring cash or check.
Tom Lederer, a local New Jersey based studio furniture maker will be our guest presenter.
Tom has been building fine furniture for over forty years. He formed Lederer Studio in 1978 after four years as an apprentice with Alan Rockwell and several years of working for notable Designer/Craftsman Phillip Lloyd Powell. Lederer is also highly skilled in classical wood carving techniques after studying the practice with Master Carver Ian Agrell and renowned wood sculptor Ian Norbury.
