CJWA meeting January 2019
Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 7:53PM Happy New Year to one and all, this year we are going to start off the January meeting with some club business including Doug’s treasure’s report of fiscal year 2018, and then out-going President Matt Kestenbaum will have some words reflecting on his tenure leading the club. This will be followed by the club’s annual Officer Elections.
Next up will be our first presentation of the year, which will be from Robert Hemsen who will be giving a talk about the uniquely challenging carving project he recently completed. He designed, laid out and carved a Diamondback Rattlesnake that sits on top of a decorative box.
The second presenter will be Marc Gaertner who will talk about the reproduction of a Porringer -Top Tea Table made out of tiger-maple. It features off center turned cabriole legs and a water base aniline dye to enhance the maple figure.
Remember, we renew memberships every January, so please bring your membership dues for the 2019 year. We look forward to seeing you all there!
